Summary
Naruto tells Sasuke that he plans to use a special technique that he has practiced in secret, more so than the Rasengan, that could distract Kaguya long enough for them to use a sealing technique. Meanwhile, Naruto's clone, Kakashi and Sakura observe from a safe distance and comtemplate the mechanics behind Kaguya's ability to alter the landscape, with Kakashi comparing her powers to those of a god. Sakura asks how Naruto could hope to fight someone like that; Naruto's replies that it might be the end for all of them but they still have to try. While they're having this discussion, Naruto revives Obito.
There's life in him yet it seems.
Though sceptical Sasuke agrees to try Naruto's plan. Launching into action Sasuke attacks Kaguya with an amaterasu which is effortlessly brushed aside. Naruto creates clones and surrounds Kaguya, performing the ultimate jutsu he spent so many hours of training perfecting...
The naked bishonen harem.
And the reactions to it. Sasuke's expression amuses me.
Everyone is pretty shocked: Sakura can't believe Naruto would use such a jutsu on someone like Kaguya thinking that it'd obviously never work, but the villain herself is so stunned by the absurdity of what she just witnessed that the jutsu actually serves its purpose and enables Naruto to land a hit on Kaguya. Sasuke teleports Naruto and himself over to Kaguya, but just as they go to seal her they find themselves encased in ice and the landscape once again changed. The lava world has been replaced by a frozen mountainside.
Kakashi theorizes that Kaguya's power works the same way as genjutsu, except it is reality. Sasuke frees himself and Naruto using Amaterasu/Blaze Release. Black Zetsu, who is living in his "mother's" sleeve says that they're hard to deal with and that divide and conquer tactics should be used. Following this advice, Kaguya grabs Sasuke and throws him into a desert dimension.
My Thoughts
First to get it out of the way: the sexy no jutsu. I admit it, I let out a startled laugh when I saw that panel. And there's no denying that the jutsu was an effective distraction technique - if it had been someone other than Kaguya, the plan would've likely succeeded. But (and your mileage may vary) I feel that there is a time for comedy and that this was not it. Other villains in this war
have had comedic moments but not during a fight, and especially not during a fight that is supposedly the Ultimate Battle. It robs Kaguya - who already has very little characterization to work with - of menace and makes it difficult to take her seriously. It is, in effect, similar to the way Naruto won against Kiba by farting. Juvenille and anticlimactic. (Yes, I KNOW the manga is aimed at a younger demographic you don't need to remind me.)
Now, Kaguya. I don't think she's really trying very hard to kill Sasuke and Naruto (out of sentimentality?). She could've easily hurt/killed Sasuke when she grabbed him. She could've, off the top of my head, altered their surroundings so there is no oxygen. But did she? No. All she did is float around and try to grab them. Her combat abilities are actually pretty underwhelming at this point when compared with previous villains, especially since the other characters are hyping her up to be an actual god.
That aside, she's very quiet isn't she? She has no real characterization or personality, she didn't consciously plan her own return and she needs direction from her slime child. At this point, it seems to me that the real villain here is actually Black Zetsu, or may as well be. I still don't understand why Kishi introduced Kaguya as a villain (I do not believe he planned her very far in advance). In my opinon Madara was a far more interesting antagonist and I feel like Kishi introduced Kaguya as more than a background mythological figure just so he could conveniently get rid of Madara/make it so he can redeem himself by helping to defeat another "worse" villain, who is not even human.
Obito is still not dead I see. I thought he was considering his character turned good already. Not sure if I'm annoyed by this or not.
