Chapter 689

Today it's only a short review, because tomorrow I will go on holidays.

Again behind cuts for spoilers, pictures and length.

With the Power-Up he got from Obito's eyes Kakashi can now join the fight. His Susanoo is even stronger than Sasuke's and he can use Kamui and change dimensions.

Kaguya manages to control the bijuu and return to her normal, human form. She summons a giant gudoudama.

They are scared, but then they decide to attack. (I must admit that I don't know whether the Susanoo is Sasuke's or Kakashi's.) We see some kind of sword go through Kakashi - so this is one of the skills he "inherited" from Obito.

Black Zetsu is scared.

Sasuke and Naruto seem to attack her, trying to seal her, but then it turns out it's not Sasuke but one of Naruto's clones. Just when she has succeeded destroying the clones Kakashi uses the Kamui to bring both Sasuke and Naruto to Kaguya's sides.

She tries to escape, but then Sakura turns up and pushes her down, so that Sasuke and Naruto can grab her shoulders. It seems that they are about to seal her.

Well, maybe Kishimoto will manage to finish the story by chapter 700. Maybe they will seal Kaguya now, or rather soon, and then everything will be fine. Though I believe that the next chapter will give Kaguya the upper hand again.

Else I wonder: Kishimoto has taken so much trouble to establish Sasuke and Naruto not only as the Rikudo's heirs, but also as the reincarnation of his sons and to give them one Power-up after the other while Sakura was left behind, and now it's again all about Team Seven. I would not mind it if Sakura had got an interesting backstory and some power-ups for herself, but she got neither. Somehow making her strong and useful now makes me feel just irritated, while I would have appreciated it if Kishimoto had made her as interesting as the boys right from the beginning.
