Nashville Show of Solidarity with the Iranian People
Last Friday Iran held a pivotal election, one which would determine the stance of the nation over the next four years. Allegations of fraud began directly after results were called, and protests having been going on in Iran since.
Now is our time to show our support for the Iranian people and their plight. Many have faced pepper spray, tear gas, batons, and gun fire from the Iranian government.
Now is our chance to stand for the Iranian people and show them the world sees their struggle and supports them through these trying times.
Meet at the statue in front of the Parthenon in Centennial Park. The protest will be from 4:30 to 8 on Friday, 19 June. Participants are encouraged to wear green.
Parking is available in various places throughout the park.
