Nash: *quietly turns the knob to Sasarai's door and unprofessionally peeks inside* I hope I'm not interrupting anything important...?
Sasarai: *Looks up from his desk* Not at all. Come in, and sit down.
Nash: *shuts the door on his way in and takes his seat* I apologize for the delay. Something unexpected happened; I only came back a few days ago.
Sasarai: *Shuffles some papers around* What happened?
Nash: Long story short, I went on vacation with a 'flame' of mine. It wasn't the best of ideas, let me tell you. *sighs and rubs his forehead, recalling Queen's distress* Her kids are currently in the infirmary...
Sasarai: That doesn't sound good. Are they going to be OK?
Nash: They are in Mathiu's care right now. *musters a quiet half-smile, but he won't admit that he's worried too* Ah, but enough about me, I wouldn't want to take up all your time.
Sasarai: Well, my prayers are with them. *puts some papers in a drawer* Now, perhaps you can give me a rundown on events since your last report, after the Sun Rune was sealed, up to your vacation?
Nash: What, do you mean the festival? Oh, right, that incident. I don't believe the culprit was ever caught, but it seems awfully suspicious for it to happen so soon after Luc's arrival, not to mention Sarah's coincidental appearance.
Sasarai: I was talking about before the festival.
Nash: The aftermath of the Sun Rune?
Sasarai: Yes.
Nash: The Sun Rune has been sealed away for the most part. To my knowledge, things have returned to normal, and Queen Arshtat has been planting new flowers to make up for the damages.
Sasarai: That's good. *Leans back on his chair* As long as the Rune is sealed and secured, I can relieve a little of the worry my peers have developed recently.
Nash: You need to take a break every once in awhile, you know. Working this hard, whew, I don't know how you do it.
Sasarai: I usually spend my breaks brushing up on sorcery and Rune magic. I've picked up a few tricks to handle a larger workload. Not that ever gotten a larger workload.
Nash: That sounds like too much work for this fragile body of mine. *laughs a little in mockery of himself* I trust you find working here to be different from Harmonia?
Sasarai: I find it much more laid back. Orders, and not many people left can send me orders, take about a week or so to get here. It helps slow down the work pace.
Nash: That's more like it. *looks around his room and recognizes some of the furniture* And you won't be getting homesick anytime soon.
Sasarai: Some of the cabinets and shelves have files that I hope I won't need, but I had to bring them along, just in case.
Nash: Always prepared, but it sounds a lot like you plan to make yourself comfortable here. I can't imagine you bringing all this work with you for a short visit.
Sasarai: It might not be as short a stay as you would think. There are some... I'll just say there are politics involved.
Nash: I won't ask for the details, I probably wouldn't understand them anyway. Not my thing. *laughs*
Sasarai: Well, with my requests out of the way, is there anything you need?
Nash: I'm just glad to see you're okay. It's been too long. But if it's not too much to ask, please keep Queen and her children in your thoughts.
Sasarai: *pulls a book from on top his desk* Not at all. Take care of yourself, Nash.
Nash: Take care of yourself. *nods and walks out, taking care to quietly shut the door behind*
