yeah, it was fun, I had a ball! I love your Granny, she's tops.

I haven't heard of any of those books ... in the pond sunds interesting. good title. I read this interesting book recently, called Icy Sparks, it was about this wee girl in the southern states of the US in the 50s, and she had Tourettes but back then they didn't know what it was.

And another interesting book is Vicktoria (sp?) Decides to Die by Paul Coelho.

I think it's Veronica decides to die.
I read that too, but didn't like it very much. Apparently he's written much better stuff. A friend of mine like the zahir or zehir (not sure of spelling) by Paulo Coelho and said it was beautifully written.
I think all his works are translations anyway, and I have HUGE issues with translated works... I always find that there's something wrong with it!

yeah it wasnt translated very well, the language was strange and I wasnt sure why until half way through! And the storyline wasa bit obvious. But it was interesting anyway.

Oh and I thought of another weird but interesting book. It's called Dibs: in search of self. can't remember who it's by though

yeah, I've always looked at Paul Coelho books with sort-of interest and never been quite in the mood for them.

I did decide on Figure of Speech for the mo, his career is just beginning, I like his turn of phrase.
