I have no idea right now

I am trying to watch Last Days, but it is pretty difficult. Maybe I am just not in the right mood to watch this film, part of me really enjoys the style of direction, and the other is just tired of the constant wandering and paranoia of the main character. And I get it, it is supposed to be representational of the real last days of Kurt Cobain, but ( Read more... )

After the first 10 minutes of Last Days, I put it back into the Netflix envelope and brought it out to the mailbox.

Gus Van Sant is a hack who occasionally stumbles into making a decent movie.. I don't know why anyone really gives him much attention at all...

Yeah it had been sitting on my desk for weeks and I'd read the reviews on IMDB of most people hating it, and turning it off half way through. So I felt I needed to see the whole thing just to see how bad it really was. The ending was horrible, so fucking horrible I barely even noticed he was dead, not to mention the rest of the film was just as boring/uninteresting. I rarely do other things while watching a film, but you'd have to strap me down to a chair to make me sit through Last Days.

hmm, Audacity of Hope. I think I've heard of this book. Is that the sequel to the novelization of the Lifetime Original Movie "Abduction of Innocence"? Or am I thinking of the wrong thing?

I read some excerpts from this book for a class in the Fall. It was interesting, to an extent, but it is based on soft sciences trying to harden themselves and make scientific claims. Statistics and Sociology bonded in unholy matrimony to justify everything from Giuliani's "Broken Window Theory" to the fashion comeback of Hushpuppies.

Hmmm well I'll keep that in mind, it was recommended to me by a random guy in a bookstore. So I figured I'd give it a go.
