personality: The first impression most people get of Natalia is that she is arrogant--because of her excellent upbringing and high placement in society, Natalia is something of a snob. She tends to look down on people when she first meets them, and because of her station, thinks she is justified in bossing people around. Her already demanding nature, it seems, is only amplified by her class. In essence, she appears the classic "rich girl", though there is more to Natalia than meets the eye.
Natalia is a cheerful person: not reserved, nor overly energetic, but right in the middle. She is caring and kind, unable to leave people hurt when they are and always dropping whatever she's doing to help a friend in need. Her loyalties lay with her family and her friends, and there is very little that will dissuade her from changing her feelings on that. She always tries to find a solution to situations, and she takes pleasure in exploring her devoted, altruistic side. However, she refuses to be a pushover and be taken advantage of, and she is more intelligent than people might give her credit for.
background Natalia, in truth, was the daughter of a muggle-born man and a squib who worked as a maid in the illustrious Lanvaldear estate, home to one of the most influential French purebloods. When the daughter of the Lanvaldear mistress was a stillborn, Natalia's grandmother stole "Meryl" (Natalia) away and gave her to her mistress for a pretty penny - her parents never knew. The mistress of Lanvaldear soon passed away, and Natalia was raised by her father. The two were always very close.
Natalia grew up believing she was the heir to the Lanvaldear name, and as it was, she took a keen interest in using her influence to better the wizarding world. Despite her young age, Natalia had a philanthropist streak, donating her dress robes to the children in the wizarding village near-by, even giving away her top-of-the-line broom when she was ten.
When she turned eleven, Natalia was invited to attend Hogwarts (a celebrated affair when the owl flew in at her party, nearly toppling over the cake to deposit the letter in Natalia's lap directly). After that, her father bought land in the Scotland and relocated there, in order to "keep my daughter closer to me." She attended Hogwarts as an excellent student (as was expected of her), excelling particularly at charms. The majority of her summers are spent in Scotland with her father, brushing up on her French, horseback-riding, and practicing the muggle sport of archery (something she had learned about in Muggle Studies and had found particularly interesting).
To this day, both Natalia and her father remain uninformed about her true origins.

akihiko: her fellow prefect; she thinks he's sort of barbaric and violent with that muggle sport. boxing, right? she's a little wary of him because of it.
ichigo: became friends after an incident on persona-switch day when ichigo flirted with natalia and she punched him in the eye. she believes she can trust him to a degree and feels a sort of obligation to take care of him, since she's of the idea that he can't do it himself (skipping a meal?! not while natalia is around!).
renge: a girl in her house that natalia has known since she transferred; she considers her something of a friend (but she is incredibly shocked by her stock of yaoi manga--really, that stuff existed?)

minato: a fellow prefect, both minato and natalia share an interest in extending relations between houses in a positive manner. they're casual friends, and natalia will take the time to say hi to him in the hall... but beyond that, she doesn't know him very well yet.
