He's an ass and not worth your time or energy. You deserve someone so much better that treats you as an equal, because you are one. He's the reason you don't work, so continue going to school and get a degree so you can be more independent of him financially. If the house being "unclean" bothers him so much, he should help out. Just because he works doesn't mean he's exempt from household stuff, that's part of a marriage and owning a home. If he wasn't married he'd clean it himself, right?

Bottom line is, he's an ass.

he actually asked me what i would do if i decided not to stay during the semester! which, in turn, implied that i would not be welcome here the minute i said i wanted out! "thanks for the cleaning, the sex, and the food and being my bitch for 5 1/2 yrs.. Now get the hell out of my house" is what i heard. i actually told him i would move in with kate and mar. he said "you think mar would let you move in? i wouldn't let anyone move in with us while we are married" i told him not all people are like him and try to help people out when they need it!
