4x08 review + reactions
I'm so sad this series is over. I can't even keep track of how much I cried while watching this episode. I'm just broken up about everything. Our time with them was so short.
The stuff I liked:
"Grab on my balls!" Cook is so sexy oh my god.
Emily <333
Noami's sarcasm.
Karen's pink streak. It's so cute. Karen speaking to Freddie, "Freds. I'm wearing your best tee." and then her crawling up into a ball on his bed. That just gave me goosebumps. I'd ship them.. if Freddie was still alive.
Effy/Katie friendship.
Freddie talking to Effy (in her head)... only because this scene wasn't what I thought it would be. I am relieved for that.
PANDA!
I laughed so hard when they thought she was mistaken for mental.
Effy reacted to Freddie leaving much better than I thought she would. So all I have to say to those freffies who thought she would 'commit suicide' because Freddie left (I know she doesn't know the truth yet) but still. Give the girl more credit then that. She tried to commit suicide WITH him I think she'll be fine without him ;]

Cook/Karen's interaction. I never realized how much Karen loves Freddie. I know they argued a lot last season but I know when it's all said and done they really loved each other. I can only imagine how she feels not knowing where her brother is or what's going on.
I love how she called Effy a crazy bitch. Karen is the original HBIC.

Karen is very shippable this episode. haha. So is Cook.. as usual.
The scene of Cook on his knees crying.. It was so powerful. I cried.

Everybody staying at Noami's. It just shows the bond they all finally have.

The whole gang together, happy & having a good time. The way it SHOULD BE. I like how it was all in Freddie's memory
Cook peeing in the yard. I'm telling you, this boy can do anything and it's a turn on.
Cook going up against Dr. Foster. I KNEW the series would end with him. The writers are basically saying Cook is the most important character.. or rather there most favored character.
All that matters to me is that Cook DIDN'T die, Effy DIDN'T die. Nobody died this episode.
And I'm implying that Cook pretty much KICKED Dr. Foster's ASS!
This was such a powerful scene.
I love Cook's evil laugh. I went from crying mode to cheering mode all at once. I was literally at the edge of my seat.

"I think I do. Your nothing."
"You don't deserve that girl. And you know.. I do."
"I'm a fucking waste of space. I'm just a stupid kid. I've got no sense. A criminal. I'm no fucking use man. I am nothing. So please, please get it into your you know , into your box that you killed my friend and.. *shrug* I'm Cook. I'm Coookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!" ♥
I like the fact that Dr. Foster said that Effy told him all about Cook too! and then Dr. Foster is all 'You don't deserve her" I'm just going to put two and two together and assume that Effy really does have feelings for Cook also.. somewhere deep down inside. It's the only hope I have since Cook/Effy weren't endgame. But I like to think of them as having an open 'ending.'
I'm just happy it ended with my favorite character.

and hey Freddie? That's how you go against a crazy doctor okay? Good.
Stuff I didn't like or hated:
Freddie's weirdo ass notebook where he scribbled 'I love her' a million times. Yeah that's not creepy at all.. and psh, when did Freddie have the time to write that bit about Dr. Foster wanting to 'hurt' Effy? Before or after he got slaughtered with a baseball bat? Before? Oh.
Lilly Loveless' acting. I'm sorry, it just doesn't do it for me. Especially the scene where she was high.
Thomas/Katie = barf. I hated that she kissed him.
Thomas/Panda I really don't mind them but them both getting into Harvard was so corny and unrealistic. Harvard is one of the toughest school in America to get into (not to mention it's Ivy league) Harvard isn't just going to turn it's back on the fact that he was expelled.
His whole 'running' thing was kind a waste of screen time for me.
The episode went pretty fast. I kept glancing at the time remaining and I was so sad. I didn't want it to be over.
They left so many lose ends..

Noami's mom will be back home, which means no more staying there.
J.J.'s a teen dad now? Oh. Although no sign of Laura, which I'm sad about.

Next year we will meet again for a whole new generation. I'm actually excited. Only skins can ignite so much emotion from me. All you freffies out there, maybe next year we'll be on the same shipping side.. who knows.
It's time to bury this shipping war hatchet.
