I used to look forward to his rants in PC Magazine about how terrible various products were, complete with random emphasized words, and names. even back in High School I could tell he was clueless

It's actually pretty fun.

The problem with Microsoft's new OS, Vista, is that the box is filled with bees. Unlike offerings from competing developer Apple, the Microsoft product team has not offered me a large enough bribe to say good things about their software

gosh yeah... he's a fool forever.

theory: once a speculative personality is proven wrong consistently for more than a decade, the only solution is wild, wrong-headed self-parody.

i also love any and all people who dismiss apple as a fashion company. because the more the idiot competition ignores the underlying (post-)humanistic design philosophy and focuses on posh casings, the more apple is going to sweep up and continue to lead. Apple's real competitors are its admirers: big quirky companies like Google, and small quirky companies like Panic.
