True enough. In fact, it's actually what got me onto Linux full time, because I just didn't feel like reinstalling Windows.

Hasn't Meatball Surprise taught you never to trust anything with surprise in its name? Surprise is violence, and never pleasant. Why is it that my startup disk is filling up every few days now when I'm deleting tons and not downloading anything? Should I reset my p-ram?

I doubt zapping the PRAM will do anything. There's a free utility I recommend trying called "Disk Inventory X," which will show you graphically what's eating all your disk space.
