Day 2
I "called in sick" for the moving stuff today. Helped load up the cars, but that's it. I was just going to grin and bear it, wanna be a helpful son and not a mooch...but I was yelled at 5 times within an hour of waking up, once because I dared to ask if I'd be able to hang out with a friend I haven't seen since last year

Maybe next year instead of heading home.... the Elders should plan a party of their own somewhere away from all of our families for a bit of relaxing time?

In any case, I hope your mom backs off for a while and realizes that you aren't a pack horse and you're honestly visiting and helping out because YOU want to, not because she's demanding it.
