Anna Nicole Smith dies, and the world news cares enough to cover it all day. Why? Am I the only one who went, "so?" when I heard the news? Especially when music icons are dying. Zal and Denny workin' for a penny
Tryin' to get a fish on the line.

Denny died?? I had no idea. =( That's way bigger news than Anna Nicole. I agree, I could have cared less. She's been a media circus far too long so I'm honestly not SURPRISED, but our society definitely has a warped view of what NEWS is.

PS -- Taxes suck. I owe too.

I guess it has something to do with the country OWNING apparently everything from one side of the ocean to another. You know, like when they stole it. It also helps them give more money to schools in affluent districts. Other than that...I see no reason for it.

yes there is some sort of redistribution, but visit the schools from the "ghetto" and "affluent" neighborhoods and tell me what you see!

And Casey, I am disappointed that you don't know me well enough to know that I support most government taxes BECAUSE of the services they provide- especially education ;-)

What I see is the point. And what I see is people not taking enough personal responsibility for their communities the government does not "give" money to affluent schools as you suggest. Affluent schools receive money from districts that maintain properties in good standings. Those properties are maintained that way based off of the owners that live in those districts ( ... )

I wish I owned-- cause I hear it's a HUUUUUUGE tax write-off. Although, I am glad to pay rent RATES instead of mortgage rates, I hate the idea of throwing away hundreds of dollars every month to pay someone else's mortgage! I dont have to worry though. With my job I can buy a house in soCal in the year 2071.

We cant win either way!
