So I finally created a page where you can go and hear/download the tunes I've been writing on my own outside of Abney Park. These are tunes that I had to get out but really didn't seem to fit within the context of AP.
Do please check it out and let me know what you think!

Seraglio: Starts off with a riff that's uncannily reminiscent of Sleep, Isabella. From there it evolves into some sweet as sweet leads on the violin. I like the world beat percussion a lot, and the basslines are nice and meaty.
Ifritah: Ooooooooooooo! This has a killer smoky middle eastern lounge feel. It does lead me to ask if you're familiar with the work of the Red Elvises. Not the same sound, but they'd probably know each other at a party, kind of thing. Also, wah pedal on a violin rides the line between something that should be destroyed and something incredibly goddamned balls-blistering awesome. I dig it.
Zola: Why do I hear, in my skull, Voltaire singing some vagabond crazy-ass lyrics on top of this in his drunkard's growl? But very nice. I especially like the drums on this one, being primarily a drummer. Funky!
Agito Novus: I heart the dynamics on this intro so fucking much. Nice 1920's bass riff meets absolutely glorious violin sweeps, with a chattering wockita-wockita crime ( ... )
