I had a day working out in Weston-Super-Mare today. Very long day, but it went well. Working >5 miles from my home office means HM government buy me lunch as a bonus

What interesting ancestors you have, and lovely to see the history alive and being passed on. I've spent quite a bit of time at Rorke's drift, my great aunt was one of the main people behind setting up the nearby Talana Museum (http://www.talana.co.za/), we had relatives in those battles too. Rorke's Drift is an interesting place to visit, beautiful but so oppressively hot and exposed that it seems peaceful through sheer force of heat. I always wondered how the soldiers managed to have a battle in that sort of environment, and with their full uniforms too...
