Les Misérables at NJPAC

Saw Les Misérables at NJPAC tonight.  I was so thrilled to finally see the show.  I know the soundtrack by heart, cause I have the live recording, and I also loved the novel, so it was just a thrill to see the show.

:) i saw it on Broadway last Spring and i agree with just about everything you said. I'm guessing the cast was different because i loved the Thénardiers.

I was SOO not happy with Eponine in this production...I loved Fantine though, and I definitely dug Enjolras, so at least we're in agreement there. The Thenardiers were definitely not the best that I've seen, either. Glad you liked it though!

I'm almost glad the Thénardiers didn't mimic the original Broadway cast; I respect them for developing their own style. And the American accents throughout the entire play really bothered me.
