I'm pretty sure that I sleep too much. Ultimately, I'm not really sure WHY I sleep as much as I do but it's the sad truth. 9-12hrs depending on what time I work sounds about right. I wake up groggy and unmotivated

so, you keep dropping lines about moving back up north. Your mom's back up there? what's the deal? you guys all finally packing up the Florida lifestyle?
wow. You know what the best thing for a newlywed couple is... having the mother-in-law move in. eesh. Sorry to hear about your grandmother, it's tough when that happens. Well, hopefully everything will work out in the next couple years.
Sounds like your internal clock is screwed up. That happens to me after a week or so on a film set when the production hours are wonky. Set your alarm at an early hour for a week straight. Get up, have some coffee, stretch and do a quick jog or a run. After a few days your body will re-calibrate itself to function off less sleep.
yeah, ya know I really do need to readjust my sleep schedule. These days I tend to stay up WAY too late (ie. 4am or earlier) so my sleeping even 8hrs has me waking up at noon time.
Closing every night at work though, I don't get home until 11pm or 12am depending on the day so I need to stay up for at least an hour to feel like I've got some 'quality solo time.' I DO miss actually waking up in the morning to coffee though. Damn. Maybe I'll have to go buy a coffee maker and give this a go. Set that sucker to brew me some yummy goodness when I get up and do just that. Drink a coffee, stretch, go for a jog and have a few hours to myself before work.
My current workout routine is mostly sit-ups, push-ups, squats, and "the plank" (Isometric push-up thingie), and occasionally some fancy thing or other with the fitness ball (I don't have free weights at the moment.) And for cardio? It's winter over here, so jogging is out. But 30-45min of Wii boxing is great fun and just about kills me. And I should mention this is a routine I am trying to get myself to stick with... I'm having trouble with lack of motivation my own self.
As for sleep... firstly, it really varies from person to person what you're optimal amount of sleep is. But in general making yourself go to sleep at a consistent time and getting up at a consistent time should help a lot with the grogginess. Something I'm fighting with myself as I am *ahem* between jobs at the moment.
Also, two months without AC in Florida in the middle of summer? Are you insane?
I just added this journal to my friends, although it doesn't seem to matter now. Heh. That person was me, who told you that you looked sickly and what not. Good times. It's nice to now my insulting yet complimentary words don't fall upon deaf ears.
