I have completed preliminary programing on the album, and moved on to recording live instruments and vocals.

I completely upgraded my recording studio over the weekend.  I went down to Prodigy Music down in Toledo and bought the following items:  Tascam US-144MK II Audio Interface, Audio Technica 2020 condenser microphone, Shure pro-grade headphones, mini-mic stand, Samson pop filter, and an XLR cord.  I ended up spending a little bit more than I expected ( Read more... )

Been a while.

2010, while disappointing in many ways, was very fulfilling from a recreational standpoint.  As a whole, I did quite a few interesting things last year.  Things I did in 2010:

Well, I tried, and I failed.  Though it's not a total loss; even though I wasn't able to get a job in Washington, I still had an amazing vacation there.

I am using the money I made during my time as a U.S. Census taker to travel.

Last week, I went to the World Juggling Federation Convention in Las Vegas.  It was incredible.  I learned some new moves, meet some cool people, and saw some of the most amazing juggling I have ever seen live.  I am very happy that I went.

After working on it for over a year, I finally completed my debut album.  It's called 'Morbid Curiosity With Life'.  I only used freeware to make it, and did not buy any special recording equipment.  I studied composition theory, taught myself how to use specific programs, and even bought a book on electronic music production.  I even played guitar ( Read more... )
