I've been to weddings where I knew that the people getting married were both just desperate to fall in love with someone, try to make the magic happen, and ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for this beautiful post, Nath. It means the world to me that you feel this way. It means even more that you were there to share the best day of our lives with us.

It has meant so much to me that everyone has said how wonderful that day was. And not just because it was a wedding, it was amazing to see every single person there having a genuinely good time celebrating and just enjoying themselves. I think that was the goal, and I'm glad you can be grouped in along with the other revelers.

Thank you for coming and staying well into the night (and next afternoon as well). Now you just need to make it over here for a weekend of ridiculousness. We will make it to Houston before too long, so get ready.

Yeah, it really was. To be honest, I should have written this a week ago, because I think I've lost some of the magic, the luster, the immediate sense of what I had of the wedding. But it was really a hell of a good time, too, and it couldn't have been if its raison d'etre had been anything less than real and right.

I'll come visit one weekend for sure; I just don't know when. I've been on the road a lot lately. I might be around for Jazzfest next weekend, or at least I've got the idea to go. We'll see.

Any time you want to come to Houston is fine with me. You know we'll have a good time, and I want you guys to see the Compound and meet my friends.
