Well as Corch mentioned there was a bit of activity at the cave in the early hours this morning. I'm not going to elaborate because I'm sure you'll all know by the weekend anyway. The whole incident brought two things to my attention

There's always garlic in a jar.. but powdered and jar garlic lacks the bite of fresh garlic, but that goes when it's cooked anyway. I think fresh is best for garlic bread but any garlic is better than none!

You peel it, put your knife on the the side and crush it, then chop it.

Garlic crushers are BS, they waste almost all the garlic and are hard to clean.

Chopping is my least favourite part of cooking. I suck at it :)

Well just make sure you don't get the cheap chinese garlic(which most/all? supermarkets seem to have). It's got about 1/100th of the proper garlic goodness because they are force grown in big lots! If you see "imported garlic" it usually always means it is the cheap chinese crap, literally!

Handy hint :) It's almost a crime to call it garlic!

Three supermarkets here, yet to find decent garlic :( It all looks like its been imported by foot from China :/
