what I've been reading

I've been thinking about doing this for a while because bookblather always does and it looks cool and I read a lot, so, I thought I might post regularly about what I'm reading so this LJ won't just be about all the paper writing I have to do at university.

I got confused until I realised you probably meant "thought Charlotte was a human girl and not a spider" unless I'm reading it all wrong.

I did grow up with the book and the movie, but I do get what you mean by Americans talking about staples of childhood when yours were so different.

You're right. That's what I get from not rereading before I post. I'll edit it in a sec. Thanks for catching it.

I think it's the same with UK and Germany. Childhood stuff can be so different. I think it gets better the older you get because you choose what you're exposed to more and more. I really don't mind most of the time but it's especially grating with books for me because it's something I enjoy so much. And because I study British and American Literature, I sort of feel the need to "catch up" and expose myself to the classics.
