I've officially graduated!

I've been meaning to post for a while now but I've been busier than I'd expected to be. I had my oral exam on June 25 and even though I was nervous, it went really well and I got the best grade there is. That half hour was way more fun than I had expected it to be. So I'm officially a graduate and in grad school now as opposed to being in grad

Congratz! It's great that everything is going so well for you. And I'm sure things will work out for your BF too, if he knows you'll still be there for him if you're in Yale.

Thanks! Sometimes it's really scary how well things are going since I've started studying literature. I always wonder how much longer it'll last.

I'm pretty confident about Matze and me working out. We've been together for almost four years by now and he's known that I've been wanting to go abroad for about a year now, so it's not a surprise. (That's very much unlike my sister who's planning to go abroad for a semester and hasn't told her boyfriend about it even though everybody else knows.) I think knowing I'll be gone for almost a year actually helps Matze with the idea of going away for grad school. We still don't know where exactly he's going to go but with things like Skype it's probably easier to be long-distance for a while than it's ever been before.
