Hahaha, I read them too!!! I would get them from the library and always read them after a disturbing book XD My favorite book was probably 'The las children of Schewenborn', about a family that tries to survive after an atomic war in Germany... And the Sherlock Holmes books

I could never read her other books though, I tried to read Hanni&Nanni once, but didn´t like it... In hindsight I realize that I read lots of disturbing books that I shouldn't have read at that age probably ;P The most vivid that comes to mind was a book with reports of children who had survived the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. There was lots of talking about burnt bodies, lost families and screaming, bloody people...

When i was 12 or so, I started reading those cheap spy books as well. totally pornish in addition. I learnt all about sex from those books. You see the result :P

porn! Oh man when we got our hands on some of it, it was guaranteed to be perused with genuine relish, even fascination.

Otherwise, my parents used to read to me from Wind In The Willows & Where The Redfern Grows & things like that which I liked.

I like kids fiction better now than i did as a kid. I Love the Little Prince & faiytales of OScar Wilde.

I'll never answer that poll though.

you bet ! good old times when we were not totally blase yet..
I read Wind in the Willows as an adult actually, loved it. The petit prince as well. Some books intended for kids are actually better read at adult age. Like Roald Dahl. The man is brilliant :D
