Question: My friend has an imaginary boyfriend. She's 16, and he's supposedly 21. She makes up outrageous aspects about this guy, such as he is super attractive, flirty, rich, has saved lives, and the list goes on. My friends and I could deal with her constant chatter about him for a while, but now she's inviting us places to meet him, and, of course, he never shows up (Complete with an excuse. None of us have ever actually met this fellow.) This is cutting into our personal time and is really annoying. Do any of you know how we can get her to stop with these lies? Or at least get her to back off a little?
This is not her first fake boyfriend...
