Hey Everyone! I'm kind of new to the military so bear with me. I just spoke to a recruiter for the first time a few days ago and I've been trying to do some research but I still have a lot of questions. I auditioned for an Air National Guard band and got accepted. Is there anyone in this community who is in a band? The recruiter didn't seem to know

Judging from the experiences of a buddy of mine who is in the Army Guard band, I'd say being deployed overseas is not very likely. His "activations" consisted of band functions around the state.

air force basic is only like 6 weeks i think, and apparently they are deployed less often for shorter amounts of time than the army. if only i could do it over... ;)
