Brazil-tan again!
Aaahh, I've wanted to do this for such a long time. So, I think kazahayakudou has the best description of Brazil-tan, but I wanted to try my own design of him, so here we go! I also added some comics about the colonial times, but I tried to make it as short and as interesting as I could. So I hope you enjoy him~
Here's Brazil-kun~
✮That's how it started!✮
So I don't feel like explaining what was going on in Europe, instead let's just say that Portugal started the great Maritime Expansion and when Columbus found America Portugal got angry and demanded a piece of earth from Spain.
And he got one. So during his trip to search for a new way to reach India, Brazil-kun was found!
✮What are they saying?✮
Of course a big cuture shock happened back there. Since Brazil was 100% habitated by indians. And a lot of them were cannibals xD but not the ones that the portuguese first found, I'm just kidding here.
✮Portugal meets Brazil✮
So sad so true...Portugal found the indians to be easy to manipulated.
But Portugal soon lost interest in Brazil because he didn't find any of the precious metals that he was looking for, while his brother Spain was praticaly swimming on them.
And he left Brazil-kun!
But years later, his commerce started to decay....

And french pirates started to invade our territory, so he was forced to colonize or he could lose Brazil-kun!
So sad so true number 2: He found a tree called Pau-Brasil that gave him loads of money. Brazil was forbid to interact with anyone but him.
Brazil-kun started to work for Portugal. But Portugal was an awful big brother, always forcing Brazil-kun into unfair trades and bullying the poor kid. It got even worse when he finally found the gold and diamonds he was looking for.
And Brazil-kun also had to put up with the constant attack by France and Holland. In fact, Holland almost took all of our territory.
That goes until Portugal decided to stay on England's side when Napoleon came up with the Continental System, which made the royal family move to our lands.

Still, Brazil-kun was kept under Portugal influence. But when he started to rebel against that, Portugal's prince decided to stay on our side and proclaim our independence.
But we remained as a monarchy! I know, What the hell?
You see, Portugal's prince decided to stay because he and his father knew that soon or later Brazil would get his independence, so they decided to proclaim it first so they wouldn't lose their influence.
But years later we kicked the Prince's son (our second emperor) and got our Republic~
