I've never thought of myself as much of a teacher, but I think I'm developing more patience the older I get. I just taught a guy how to change the contrast, use the layers palette, and the text tool in photoshop. And he listened so well, and got so excited, that I might finally understand the thrill of teaching. But it all comes from the student ( Read more... )

You are totally talking about Montessori! :D In our school they do have certain things they have to do at some point during the day, but they choose when to do it, and if they REALLY want to work on something particular (like the aforementioned chemistry), they can spend most of their time on it.

You're not crashing my lj, although I was tempted to pretend I didn't see this comment, so you wouldn't know how lame I am. I started a second job a couple of weeks ago, and I am so far behind on completeyl xmas gifts that it's not even funny. So I haven't even started on your kitty hat. :-( I'm really sorry. Tell your friend that it's all my fault, and that it will have to be a belated xmas present. A 12th night present, perhaps?

Whenever you're done just let me know lady! And don't feel bad about anything - I forbid it! I asked you kind of late in the season anyways so don't even get down about it.
