After long debate, I have decided!
Quit! quit! quit!! Felt like saying this to that bitchy new supervisor: kubi!kubi!kubi!!!!

Since the original staffs started quitting one by one , the old group of people I used to worked with, the Sunday job started to get more and more annoying and boring. New inconsiderate staffs, rude staffs, bad services and attitudes from drivers, causing us to bear the end of the brunt from customers.
Suddenly, a job that used to be easy, fun and enjoyable starts to become irritating, disgusting and difficult to do.

A simple job, with the change of new supervisor, staffs and system, had totally change the nature and environment of the job, at least to my perspective.

When Jane, Rose and Jade left, I thought, perhaps I should get to know more new staffs and work as usual.
But the new staffs simply sucks, smoking gal, rude gal, and snobbish-yet-not-so-intelligent gal. Haiz...
Plus, I simply cannot get along with the new staffs, different world? Totally cannot communicate.

Moreover, the change of supervisor (Chief in command) had change the whole running of the company.
To be more efficient? New changes? You are so wrong, there are many changes, but it become less and less efficient. Drivers take longer time to fulfill an order, poor service attitudes, nasty tempers towards call centre staffs, and often blaming us for all the mistakes and complaints received. Why? The previous tigeress-ppoi Manager had promoted to oversees other area, leaving this newbie supervisor whom had just transferred into the company due to acquisition of her previous company, to take charge of the whole call-centre operation.

This supervisor, do not know how to protect her own staffs and picks on them and sides the drivers, making it worst for us to work. Often had to endure unnecessary scoldings and snide remarks from the drivers aside from the rude customers that we had to listen to the calls.

For once, this major or rather SME, seems to like taking over various small companies and taking over their clients shares yet, cannot seem to cope with the increase in volumes of orders at all.
Within a year, they have taken in one new subsidary, 3 companies and clients contacts and the drivers are facing manpower shortages instead. Resulting in huge overload of orders that they can cope in time. The usual standard "average 30 minutes waiting time" turn into "45 minute to 1 hours" waiting time. Alas, I had to keep listening to many complaints and nasty remarks from customers all the time.
"What is this kind of service?! " the customers also demand me, how can I answer?
At times, i really wanna tell them that please call other company, this company cannot cope to your demand. If i were you, i will not use this company's!  It kinda sucks when one cannot believe in the company's operating standards and the flaws that I kept seeing, yet can't do anything to change it.

Well, no need to change, I kind of wanna see how they gonna continue on with such fucked up internal operations and attitude. While the lower levels face problems in coping the huge influx of orders, the higher levels continues to keep taking over new companies and their client base.
It is as if they bite more than they can eat. I kind of wanna see when will they start feeling nauseous and puke everything out from their gut.

Right now, I am forced to do stupid and meaningless postal code checking on their new system.
Having many experience in doing data entries, I do not see the meaning of what I am doing right now.
Even the supervisor have no idea what she is doing, how am I find meaning in it?
Moreover, since the start of the implementation of the new system, the staffs have been doing useless and time consuming data entries in the wrong way and had redone a lot of time. Why the waste of resources and effort when they cannot make sure to get it right on the first time? At least inform the staffs clearly on what they are supposed to look for and key in! There was so much duplication of work and overworking and extension of duties beyond their job scope which is super unfair to the employees.

Even now, as a part timer who only comes on every Sundays and PH, i am also been asked/forced to check this stupid sheet of address when a simple technical migration of data is possible if the company willing to spend a higher sum in buying the new system. Why buy an empty shell and enter these data manually? I suspect cox it's cheaper than the expensive and better system?
The stinginess of SME or this company played themselves to the max.
Saving labour cost of not hiring a qualified IT technician or specialist, choosing to do it manually. What's the point of this "upgrading" when it creates even more trouble than streamlining the operation process?

I have experience a system upgrade in another company before, it was not as screwed up as this.
At least the technicians can migrate the info from old system to the new system. It takes a month to improve it, but not more than 2 months like this company. They can't even kick start this new system yet!

Moreover, to get rude and sickening customers' calls really spoil your Sunday mood. Cheapskate customers who always complain: How come it's so expensive, the others sell at $xx why you cannot be cheaper?!
Seriously, i really feel like telling her, if our competitors sell so cheap , why dun you go and order from them?! Plus our average waiting time is so long, if I were you, i already order the other one!

Or those who spun stories of how the staffs told them it is this price and we dun recognise it. All the kind of bullshit and lies just to get a few dollar cheaper. WTH.
Through the 3 over years working in this part time job, makes me realised that alot of Singaporeans are rude and stuck ups as well as many foreigners who are as shitty as the locals in terms of phonecall manners. There are so many shitcases and nutcases that I had been through its sucks TTM.
 Another "popular' demand/question is " Can you come faster? I am cooking halfway"
Hi people, EVERYONE WHO CALLED INTO THE HOTLINE WERE ALL COOKING HALFWAY. You are not the only one. And even if you want it fast, we have no rockets or jet planes to zoom to your house within 5 minutes. GET REAL.

Furthermore, PRCs and Bangadeshi calls are the most irritating and disgusting ones.
The inaudible pronunciation and English language plus the ever-annoying Beijing accents make the work of listening to orders even harder. Often they dint even know where they live nor the address they are at!
"Opp market/xxxxx Mrt station" or some who live in CONDOs do not know their Block Number. Hello, for your info, ALL ADDRESSES IN SINGAPORE DO HAVE A BLOCK/HOUSE NUMBER, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU ARE LIVING IN A CONDO/BUNGALOWS/SEMI-D/PALACE OR EVEN PADANG. And to those PRCs who choose to come and live/work in Singapore, at least LEARN YOUR ENGLISH OR KNOW YOUR ADDRESS IN ENGLISH AND NOT TO LIVE IN YOUR OWN CHINA BUBBLE.

About the drivers, I even got into conflicts with a few drivers who simply rude and accuse me wrongly.
Who are you to scold and knock my head? Who do you think you are messing with? I am not those gals/aunties who enjoy flirting with all these ah peks uncles. Or those who can be scolded and accused and be your scapegoat for you.

All in all, enough is enough. Plus the new screwed up system waiting in vain for a month to be launch, fails terribly and having call operators bear the burden which is entirely not within the job scope, I see no reason to stay and suffer while I can actually enjoy my Sundays and PH for once after 3 years.
The Engel's curve also stated with higher income you want more time, instead of even higher income. Now to me, time is of a luxury and having more time perhaps can do some self improvement and upgrade myself, improve my knowledge and well-being better than spoiling my day with sucky calls and corked up management.
I can even get a better social life, like gathering with friends or karaoke sessions on Sundays instead.

Another 2 more hours. Am gonna fire this co and throw a resignation Sms to the head after that.
Am so not gonna turn up during Deepavali PH since it will be all the sucky calls from Indians nor endure the agony over Hari Raya and to enjoy my paid off in lieu on Monday instead.
