Let me know about that Marukami book, I read the Wind Up Bird Chronicle and it was an excellent book. I really need to finish Pynchon, but after getting lost for the fifth time I decided I could wait until I got a little more patient.

i dunno, kafka felt like a self-parody of murakami now, what with all the requisite weirdness. then again, i remember now enjoying some of the scenes. wait, maybe i did like it...
