A day of not so much action

Since we trekked around Tokyo yesterday so much, today was a bit less intense. We slept in and didn't really get moving until the late afternoon, though we did have a delicious breakfast of onigiri (yes, again): today we had delicious gomoku onigiri (containing shiitake mushrooms, chicken, carrots, and... umm... two other things that I can't recall ( Read more... )

Yep! They only have a couple of locations, which I think were started just a year of two ago. They're insanely popular, though.

I know you wanted a few places to check out in Tokyo. Sorry to take so long to get back to you, but if you havent been before you should check out the collection of really cool stores and clothing boutiques behind the end of takashita doori in harajuku/aoyama. Theres an absolutely gorgeous mall there too known as omotesandou hills. Nothing really interesting to buy in the mall but the architecture is super neat.
Also check out daikanyama. It's the current hotbed of fashion and collectible shops in Tokyo. Super fun.
If you haven't done it before you absolutley should do the tsukiji fish market. Make sure you go early (5:30-7 am) to see all the action.
