I think 3L year is supposed to be ridiculous for everyone. It is for me. I think it's about time to graduate, but they won't let us yet...
as for marriage...
Well, for me, the whole point was: A. to avoid future prosecution for this and this nasty stuff (you learn about this in family law -- fun!) AND B. to protect the sacred institution of marriage, duh! you know, all heterosexual people have to get married or else those gay people will take up all the marriage spots! (ick, ick) There's a limited number of marriages that can go on, ya know

Ah, I wrote my note on cohabitation- I know about that stuff (and I'm living with my bf so I really know about it). I know all the financial benefits, etc. of marriage- and I'm not against marriage. I just think it's weird that it becomes expected at a certain time in your life. So many marriages end in divorce- which is expensive and painful, especially if kids are involved- I don't know, maybe I just wish everyone would be a bit more careful before getting married. I suppose everyone I meet who is getting married could be really in love-- but somehow I just don't think that is always the case. I'm all for marriage if you are really in love and financially able to pay for that ridiculous ceremony. I may be hyper feminist- but I still want a big party!
Hence, my ridiculousness. Really. It sometimes amazes me how contradictory I am.
