New Shoes? No, these are 5 years old

Jul 19, 2006 11:39

Bought a pair of smart and shiny shoes for Maelstrom, after all, there is no better advert IMO for a boot boy than if his own shoes are immaculate.

Looks like some of the group are wilting in the heat. We've had 1 drop out and 1 maybe dropping out in the last couple of days.

I must remember to pack my sunscreen and hat.

I have nothing at all suitable, but I do have a (somewhat battered) black tricorn, so let me know if you get really stuck for headgear

I for one have a hat, a parasol, a face mask, a fan, loose silk kimono and am still intending on sitting in the shade a lot.

It's my cool and mysterious look

I have no hat, no fan, no parasol, and all my dresses are damn thick, I suspect the weekend will be sent boiling to death or sheltering in any shade I can find.
However, as I cant sit down doing nothing for longer than a few minutes before boredom creeps in I may end up boiling to death.

What we need to do is get people to come to us...

I am going to wear as little as possible and then compensate for the crapness of tiny kit with plenty of fake blood. It's cooling, and it has a high SPF...

Nearest thing to a hose a camel bac under the armour for constant water. even if it gets too warm to drink you can always tip some of the water inside the armour.

My only real hope is my water/peppermint spray, to keep me ish cool between meetings, I may refuse to go to any meeting held in a tiny tent with multiple people for fear of fainting.

I may also just offer to help more at the chamber as well, at least my secondary has a much cooler outfit.

Surely all even semi-fashionable Flembic ladies will be fainting at every opportunity anyway? I imagine it will be the latest popular fad

What a glorious idea. I have a feeling that Jacob would make a habit of catching such ladies....
