Depending where your staying the the weather, if its nice then there is a beer garden along the river called bonner rheiuane.

But the city centre is youe best bet as its got a busy student feel as Bonn is home to big university and the area of Poppelsdifer Allee. Apparently the building associated with the university are very pretty and walking around bonn centre is nice, lots of bikes like cambridge.

Bonn, a notoriously boring city, even when it was the West German capital, and apparently even more boring these days when the politicos have moved on the Berlin. Apparently eating was good there, as it tends to be in Germany, provided you have a good appetite. Ask your hosts, would be my advice.

I can assure you that business trips are over-rated, unless you manage to flange your schedule to match your personal one like I did on Friday.
