Thanks Mi! Yes, I have heard about this, and am on the fence as to whether or not I believe it. I suppose I should give them benefit of the doubt, but any way you slice it, they handled the entire situation with a bureaucratic ineptitude surpassed only by the Federal Government.
For an internet corporation, you'd think they would have understood the value of orchestrating a real-time response across a variety of web-based outlets, as opposed to stonewalling for 48 hours and then releasing a statement to print media. It's not unlike standing in front of a crowd and calling a radio station to broadcast their message. Well, anyway, I hope this is a lesson learned.
I wonder if this affected a book I recently bought for my multicultural education class--about the history of LGBT school workers: Fit to Teach by Jackie M. Blount. It was real good too. :-( Dumb Amazon.
