Well, I was completely unmedicated until the very end - that's when they hooked up the oxytocin (after about 20 hours of labour and 3 hours of pushing). No pain medication though at all throughout.

Thanks, this gives me hope!

I had muscle separation with my first pregnancy, it never healed back together, my second baby was born at home with no issues.

i had muscle separation with both pregnancies and pushed both babies out just fine! :D

My 2nd child I pushed for 3 hours, my third child I pushed for 3 minutes. I had terrible diastasis recti with both and afterwards as well. It is worth noting that baby #2 was 7lbs 13oz, and baby #3 was 5lbs 15oz so that likely had something to do with it as well.
