I did some web searching for an old co-worker of mine, and it looks like his life has taken a bit of a wrong turn. He was riding his bicycle one day, got pulled over by a cop, refused to show ID, and his ordeal began

I read some of that. His dealings with the police are pretty disturbing, and oddly frequent. He sounds like militia members I've heard of. I wish I had advice to give him...

It just keeps getting worse.

He ain't no militant, he just ignores laws he thinks are dumb, and doesn't cooperate with cops when they're being ridiculous. It didn't used to be so dangerous to be like that.
