How Can I Keep Mold From Coming Back on Wooden Furniture?

This winter we had a heavy rain season and I think the dampness in the air cause some mold on a nightstand near a closed sliding glass door. I tried cleaning it up with vinegar but it came back. What can I do to fix that?

Of course, you probably don't want to use bleach. I would try lemon juice with a little tee-tree oil. If you are concerned about the lemon's acidity on wood finish, then "flash" some baking soda on top, soon after you lay it down, then clean up.
