I like mail. I do I do. I'm giving you my address in the next comment, then deleting it, so you have it in your inbox but it's not all over the interwebs.

"people of color friends" has gotta be the most awkward expression i have ever heard used in reference to underprivileged ethnic groups.

i don't know yet if we are coming to see you but maybe!

Yes, I like letters! I hope to see you next week, and if I get to, I'll give you my address then. Why is it so good that you are no longer involved in choir or United Sexualities?

They were both major stressors and I wasn't getting much enjoyment/fulfillment out of either of them.

I'm sorry. Was it just this choir or choir in general?

This choir was definitely worse than others would have been, but I'm still having a lot of trouble adjusting to a choir that isn't the choir I grew up singing in -- I was singing under an amazing, world-renowned conductor with people who were in it for the music and the learning and singing music I loved. And the choir here at Manchester isn't that at all... there's not a focus on learning new things to make the choir better -- no technique, no theory, no sight reading. Debra just gives us music and we sing it. She also focuses too much, in my opinion, on choir being a fun, social group, and not an ensemble. Choir should be fun, but the music comes first and is most important.
