i failed to wear a hat or sunblock when i was out in the sun all day, and now i have terrible sunburns. i know to apply aloe to my skin and have been doing that - but my scalp is also sunburned and is scabbing, which is scary. i am trying to apply aloe on it too, which is hard with hair, but i was wondering if you had any suggestions for other ( Read more... )

Coconut oil is also good, your hair will be greasy(but it would be with olive oil as well) but it is soothing and helps.

Coconut oil will be much easier to wash out of hair than olive oil, too.

I have heard that it's not a good idea to put oil on burns, though--it sits on top and keeps the skin from cooling off. Maybe stick to aloe vera for a while.

What if you put the aloe in a spray bottle? That can help you to apply it to your scalp.
I seem to recall tea being used for sunburn, as well as diluted apple cider vinegar, IIRC.
