OCM Question

Good Morning! I have a question for those who use the OCM. Whether you use it daily or every few days what do you use in the morning/night and off nights to keep your face clean? What about moisturizing after the OCM? I have oily acne prone skin and was unsure if I should moisturize everyday in the morning and night and if I should do if after I do ( Read more... )

I've actually been using the OCM twice daily, so I don't clean with anything else. After steaming the cleansing mixture off, I sometimes pat my face with a small amount of straight EVOO to moisturize, but I don't always do this step.

Do you think a 1 to 1 ratio of the CO and EVOO would be better for me?

How do you do it? Do you do it in the shower?

You don't use Castor oil at all?

i agree with what someone said earlier about making it in small batches. last week i started OCM and made about a cup of 20% castor 80% grapeseed. it was too drying. my skin was flaky after cleansing. last night i made up a little bit of 15%castor85%grapeseed and it was much better. now i have all this other oil, but i can use it as a moisturizer, and i may need it when the weather gets warmer. so you may have to adjust your ratios depending how how your skin is reacting to the oils.
i also have acne prone skin. i wouldn't use other products with OCM, personally. i think the point is to use less product on the skin in the hopes of irritating it less. but i'm sure there are people that use other things all the time. i cleanse once per day with OCM and use just the tiniest dabs of oil to moisturize. I think grapeseed is a good choice for oily skin because it is light. (maybe that's why i had to use less castor oil)

Experiment a little! If your mixture is working all right, don't force yourself to change it because someone else has got theirs figured out. I do a 1CO:3Grapeseed mix, twice a day (in the morning before I shower, and in the evening before bed). I just saw it working and I love the way my skin feels afterward. I have oily/acne prone skin, and I find I don't need to moisturize at all anymore.

Oh, and I put a couple drops each of Palmarosa and Tea Tree essential oils into the mixture, for extra zapping! :)
