Newbie with a question about OCM.

First of all, my skin is somehow both oily and dry. Not combination skin, where one has dry skin on their cheeks but an oily t-zone. No, I can have a flaky patch that still, somehow, manages to be completely oily. I have tried pretty much everything, but the thing I had the most luck with was lightly exfoliating every day and using Clean and Clear ( Read more... )

i have similar skin to yours, and i would absolutely recommend jojoba oil. i've found that since using jojoba oil, my dry patches are fewer and less dry, and i experience fewer blackheads and less oiliness. i don't even do the full-on OCM; i simply apply a moderate layer of jojoba oil all over my face within a couple minutes after getting out of the shower (it's best to apply oil when the pores are open, as you probably know). pay special attention to the dry/oily patches. it absorbs better than any oil or other moisturizer i've tried, and you can use it on the ends of your hair, too.
a couple notes:
-i, too, am WO on my face--baking soda would probably kill my face; i only exfoliate with the washcloth, usually daily
-i, too, am around 30 :)
-you should use only organic, 100% jojoba oil if possible

i hope this helps!

We have an awesome skin care line! We have drinks that are infused with the most nutrient rich botanical on earth called "Moringa Oleifera." We soon found out our skin is just as important as our overall nutrition as it is the largest organ in the body! Nourish you skin :) www.nourish4life.myzija.com
