CHARACTER INFORMATION-

Canon Character and Series: Aeris Gainsborough / Final Fantasy 7
In-Game Name: Aeris Gainsborough, alias Trisha Gast
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Position & Ship: Cabin Boy, Winding Way

Appearance: Aeris is pretty small for a woman of her age. She only reaches about 5'4 in height and is all around very slender and petite, thus giving her the appearance of someone somewhat younger. Strangely, despite how much time she spends outside she has very pale skin. Her hair is very long, and voluminous, reaching down past her waist and bearing a chestnut color. Her typical style is to keep it in a braid, but she has fun always trying something new.

What stands out most about Aeris' looks, though, would be her eyes, which are an atypically vibrant green, representative of the Cetra blood which runs through her veins.

Her attire varies greatly, but she has a fondness for dresses, pastel colors, and floral patterns. She loves flowers and simple trinkets and jewelry; most of her things she makes herself.

Personality: Though Aeris is still very young herself, the thing that stands out most about her is how motherly she can be. Despite her rough life and the circumstances she grew up in, Aeris has a very strong sense of empathy, compassion, and patience. She always does her best to keep everyone pleased, and is very good at viewing situations from different perspectives which gives her the ability to understand and help. She forms attachments quite easily, and always looks out for others in any way she can.

Aside this she can be a bit mischievous as well. She's quite playful and has a fondness for games and silliness in general. Though she knows when to be serious, she's almost always ready for some sort of banter, shenanigan, or random horseplay; ironically, very much like a child.

There are times when she may come off as slightly naïve due to her highly optimistic nature, but she isn't, really. One can't grow up in Kropmork and be such, after all. It is true thought, that she is a bit more trusting than she should be. The very fact that she forms such strong attachments so quickly is something that can land her in trouble very often, but she never lets anything deter her.

Abilities/Weapons: Aeris' most obvious ability, and the only one she is slightly open about, is her ability to heal. She has powerful thaumaturgical abilities, ones that earned her the title of Miracle Worker back in Kropmork. It wasn't a simple matter of healing cuts, bruises, or broken bones but curing people of diseases and ailments such as blindness.

Her second ability is that of her connection with nature.. Aeris can make anything grow anywhere, and almost instantaneously and as she wishes. She always carries a bag of seeds with her of different plants and trees for emergency cases. It had been what allowed her to escape so many times in Kropmork, but its an ability she almost never uses because she acknowledges it would give her away.

Lastly is her connection with the dead, and her knack for hearing their voices and the voices of the land

How well can your character hack?: Not at all. Aeris isn't all that great with technology, she probably isn't all that great at upping the security on her own entries, much less being able to handle those of other's.

Weaknesses: Aeris is a physically unfit person. She is not very strong, she is not very quick, and she doesn't have a whole lot of stamina. It really is a wonder that she was able to survive as long as she did in Kropmork, particularly when the Turks targeted her, but much of that is attributed to the help of the voices that would warn her, and guide her to easy and quick escape routes. Even if she could, Aeris is the kind of person who probably couldn't bring herself to harm someone. She hates hurting anyone in any way, be it physically or emotionally.

A large flaw of her's comes from that very compassion of her's that wins her so many allies. It has a habit of getting her into trouble when she places her trust in someone she should, or when she invests herself in a person more than is safe.

While she isn't stupid, she does have a tendency to sometimes not always think things through; hence how she has given herself away often enough to give people clues on how to track her. She jumps the gun on many things, and really let's her emotions get the better of her. Said emotions can also be easily manipulated, since Aeris is most definitely a bleeding heart.

History: Much of Aeris' past and origins remain a mystery, even to her. As far back as she could remember, Aeris and her deceased mother, Ilfana, had lived in a research facility by scientist who believed that she and her mother possessed some connection or knowledge of the world below. During those first couple years of her life, Aeris didn't even know of a world outsides the walls of of the facility, nor a life outside all the various experiments that were conducted on her and her mother. These experiments ranged from testing out her physical, mental, and supernatural capabilities, seeing what sort of reactions she had to particular influences, and many other painful subjugations.

However horrible these first years were, Aeris managed to survive them and maintain a cheerful attitude thanks to her very loving mother. Her mother had it even worse than she did, but she kept her own smile and cared for Aeris as much as she could, giving her tales of a different place. It wouldn't be till Aeris escaped that she realized that these stories were real and of Reial which would cause her to wonder if the other stories Ilfana told were of yet another world.

When she was about six years old, Ilfana escaped, taking her daughter with her. It was a mission that did not go smoothly, and in the process Ilfana was severely injured. The two managed to sneak onto an airship that was headed towards Kropmork. Ilfana managed to survive till they got there, but shortly after getting off the ship she died. She made a woman called Elmyra promise to take care of Aeris, and so soon the young girl was taken into the care of another mother.

The next five years went by as well as any childhood Kropmork good. It was a vastly different environment, but no more dangerous than the one she had been in before ( if, albeit, dangerous in a different way ). Elmyra was a wonderful mother though, a beacon in the murk of the dangerous and hedonistic island that never let Aeris stray from her innate and powerful sense of ethics and morality. The harsh life of Kropmork wasn't the only thing Aeris had to adjust to. As she soon found out, once outside the confines of the facility, and the mechanized barriers of Ivona, she could hear voices. These voices ranged from being those of the recently deceased, to the land itself. It was a frightening experience at first, but in time it became a comfort to her. They became her friends, and with their help she was able to keep safe in the streets of Kropmork; though she was pretty good with a staff, Aeris was hardly the kind who could fight off many offenders. It was the primary reason she survived her years there.

When she was eleven she began to discover more of her powers. She had always had a fondness and green thumb for plants and flowers, but learned that it went before that. She had the ability to grow anything, anywhere, and almost instantaneously. With this newfound ability she found an abandoned church and began to grow a garden. She would sell her flowers as means of making at least a little bit of money for her tiny family. Once during her street vending, she came across an injured man, and managed to heal him.

These skills came naturally to her, but she continued to practice them. Perhaps someone had seen her doing so, or perhaps one of the people she healed spoke too much. Who knows, rumors travel quickly, but somehow the scientists of Ivona that had been the dominant figures in her infancy caught wind of her miracles and they rightfully suspected it was her.

When she was fifteen they commissioned a gang named Shin-Ra to capture her for them. For years Aeris was under siege, but because she had spirits to help her, and some of her abilities, she was always able to escape. After a close shave that endangered Elmyra when she was seventeen, Aeris decided it was time for her to leave. She snuck onto another airship that took her to Vohemar, and from there she continued her work, albeit much more subtle.

Every now and then, when she feels she is being tracked she will move.
