Una made mention of how horrid the past few months had been to all of us, and how we had at least been given some respite during the Kissing Town Port last year.

I must say, Sexby, that I could not help myself. If we are not given respite, or frivolity or gaiety, I daresay we should take measures to procure it for ourselves, and the notion seemed fitting.

I can see you are well-versed in the ways of ladies undergarments. I speak of stays, not a corseting. Stays give a woman a flattened-yet-shapely appearance, but there is less binding and tucking involved.
