I come to you now to say farewell - I hope you did not expect me to leave quietly! I ask only for your attention, for this is the last time you shall hear my voice, and my last opportunity to speak so freely before I am once more silenced ( Read more... )

I think... I regret not having chance to talk to you or your husband.

For that was truly worth reading, and I will remember it, despite not having known you. Even in war, there is room for love. A good sentiment.

I wish you well on your journey.

Then it was a pleasure to have spoken to you, if only briefly.

Thank you, sir. I wish you well on yours, for truly, it has just begun.

I will. This place is going to be so different without you.

But I know you have a real life waiting for you now.

Things change so quickly here, we can only hope to have been memorable to someone else.

I do. I have waited over a year for it to begin.

You'll never be truly silenced, my love.

Go and be happy with Sexby. You've earned it.

Safe journeys, and I'll see you soon-soon in your timeline, and as long as it takes for me. Give Beth a kiss from me.

They shall try, but oh, how they'll fail. I was always terrible at remaining silent.

Sounds a proper welcome home, Una. I look forward to seeing you, and will give Beth your love. You have mine, forever and always.

No need to thank me, Arthur. I truly loved Mal, and am grateful to have been given the chance to help her.

I wish you success in all of your endeavours. Take care.

[Martha wasn't going to let Angelica go without one last hug, and she quickly moved to track her down, carrying a small box.]

[Though there was no need to pack, Angelica was sorting through the things she didn't wish to leave behind. For once she had the door to her cabin propped open, showing the grand hall and bedroom beyond as she moved about within.]

[Martha grinned when she saw the door was open, and she walked over with a smile.] Haven't forgotten the gloves I gave you, yeah?

Martha! [Angelica briefly embraced her, turning back to her work of packing jars of coffee into a case.]

Of course not. Those gloves are perfect for the trip into London. My other gloves are all worn on the palms, but those will keep well enough.
