St. Patrick's Day and a trip to the ER

Mar 19, 2006 11:47

St. Patrick's Day was fun!  Lance woke me up at the butt crack of dawn to what??  Wait in line at Maggie's.  Him and I met Jesse, Kevin, Ryn, Gwen, and her brothers (Alex and Tony).  We grabbed some green beer and began our way through the maze and Maggie's.  We found them at the bar and we drank more beer and some Dirty Girl Scout's.  We left ( Read more... )

Glad you had a good time St. Patty's day while I was stuck at work. :-). The eye thing sucks.... one time I had an ulcer in my eye from wearing my contacts for too long and I thought I was going to die. Glad to hear it's better now though!

Gosh, if these two are comparable in pain, I feel sorry for you too!! 24 hours later, I'm feeling better but my eye is still tender. Thanks for the concern! :o)

Yikes, well at least the rest of your weekend was good! Hard core- drinkin in the morning like that! I just don't know if my stomach could take alcohol that early.

I can't wait to see V for Vendetta, it looks pretty sweet.

Drinks all weekend! I don't know if my body handled the alcohol that early in the morning, but it did pretty well. The movie was great, especially in IMAX form. Definitely see it if you get the chance.

I do believe I concurred with Dr. McNall and Dr. Kalasa that it was an abresion of the cornea. Of course Dr. Kalasa's unconventional treatment of plastic bag from restaurant filled with ice was unsucessful and my unconventional advise to "drink til it goes away", was no where near as successful as a large bottle of Visine and Vicodin.

hope the eye becomes better and may I suggest you refrain from scratching your eye(s) in the future!

I do appreciate the advice from the doc's I had on hand that night. They were much more successful as my own interpretations. As the doc from Sparrow suggested a cold compress and lots of sleep will do my eye good. So Dr. Kolasa was on the right path. Dr. Evans, I think that your advice of drinking until it goes away is simply unacceptable and I would have sued you!

You know, I think I may end up wearing one of those masks when I sleep and I'm just going to keep gloves on my hands for the rest of life so that this will never happen again!

right after I posted that I realized I misspelled both of your names. MacNall and Kolasa is correct, right?

if you guys didn't have such pain in the ass names, it wouldn't be such a problem. I mean common! Evans, Miller, Smith, Owen....these are acceptable last names!

FUN TIMES! Yeah, I feel like I drank way too much this weekend - my body just is too old to drink like that (and I drank Sunday at home with the fam). I'm glad your eye is ok!

I think they should have given you a jaunty eye patch!

Yes me too! My eye is doing much better and I got better eye drops from my optometrist on Monday. They have steroids and antibiotics in them! Yikes!

I didn't want no stinking eye patch, Argh!

Oh my gosh, I did! I'm so sorry I did that! You were there with us and we had a great time with you too! I guess the medication was kicking in by that point!!

Seriously, I think our waiter looked at me like I had something wrong with my eye, oh wait! I did!
