It's been a crazy week and some! Under the cut you will find VBS, religion, child development, miscellaneous family business, college plans, TV, gardens and July 4th plans!
I agree with your stance completely about "God versus Satan" and "Christians versus non-Christians" ... yes, it smacks of the Crusades and seems to live little room for tolerance and victory through the conquest of haarts and minds.
As for the Bible being a tough book to read, I tend to agree with the parent ONLY in that King James's English might be a bit of a stumbling block for a 7-yr, but I DO know they make the same basic book in more modern English with annotations for young readers. My aunt was a Sunday School teacher and used it often. I can't recall the name of that version though.
As for "sitting on your butt"...it may seem that way to you, but looking through your blog it sounds like you've done a lot in this past year for different people. Just because it does not bring in a paycheck does not mean it is not serving a good purpose. Things will work out. I believe that.
