You'll have to let us know how it all turns out. I swear "math time-tests" are cruel and unusual punishment, and I'm a freakin' math teacher. 6*7=2*3*7=2*21=42 is the way my brain works and no number of flash cards is going to make that different. (As a note, I have become fairly quick at this kind of thing now, but that is only after 20-some years of it.)

I mean, 56*33=56*3*11=56*11*3=616*3=1848. It all works well for me since I got it to click in my head and it has nothing to do with memorizing the damned times tables.

I hates em, time-tests. I'll let Mrs. COntrol Freak know that they're frowned upon in the upper region of the math community, and that Mia will probably get it eventually.

So would you be suggesting that if we break things down into factors, it's easier to compute? Hm. I should experiment with my little control group.

Thanks, B! Weird, we should all know the lesson of the Neanderthal, but somewhere along the line we, especially girls, get a little TOO well socialized. Funny that it took me so long to get free.
