Why is the only grad school application item that got lost (so far) the one I personally handed in at the graduate studies office?

i've noticed this is a pattern, actually - personally handing in parts of applications makes them more likely to get lost. i think it's because they don't come in as part of the Normal Process.

You heard the thing where mumbly_joe applied to post-bac programs, and they for some reason forwarded his application to Swarthmore?

The solution? Lasers. With kitties.

That'll learn 'em never to lose your application.
