Houseboat Honeymoon
I thought I'd share some of the pictures of me in Houseboat Honeymoon that were taken during our first preview! Lots of fun, these. I'm afraid that they aren't all particularly flattering, though. I'll post them in a cut so I don't take up a bunch of space on everyone's friends pages.
This is when the dentist chair breaks and drops on my right foot (in a flip-flop) and causes me to walk with a limp for the rest of the show.
This is just a general shot of most of the family in the beginning of the show. Left to Right: MaryAnn, Grandma, Mom, Sharon, Jeanie, Me (James), Ron.
The houseboat at night. It's quite the elaborate set. I'm up in the dentist chair having my nose checked on by Dad.
While it's not a particularly flattering shot of me, it shows my first stage of make-up. I have to throw this one while the dressers backstage are getting me wet. Grandpa knocks me in the face with a metal detector and I fall into the water. This is me downstairs playing Blackjack.
This is me upstairs eating two hotdogs. I've got more make-up on because during scene 2, I go upstairs to get kicked in the face by grandpa before being metal detectored to the face once more, which causes me to fall and smack my head on the bar that you see in front of me in this picture.
This is Mom and Dad trying to give me a root canal in scene 4. I don't want one on vacation and Dad sucks at being a dentist so I'm doing my best to avoid it. As a result, Mom and Dad both use their legs to keep me pinned in the chair.
Ted hits me in the face with a golf club and knocks out most of my teeth. Dad gives me way too much painkiller and I go crazy!
"FULL SPEED AHEAD!" As you can see, I look pretty beat up. I'm quite proud of this because I do all my own make-up for the show. And all my own stunts. And all my own acting.
This show has been quite an amazing experience. It's very crazy all the time but I have a lot of fun with my character. It's actually very hard to go crazy every night and find the motivation to say the following lines convincingly at the end:
"Porque estan tocando mi cara?!"
"Full Speed Ahead!"
"Don't worry baby, tomorrow is Easter and the Easter Bunny left us some presents to find I know it!"
"Look Dickie! I'm king of the world!"
"Dickie, when the smoke clears I want you to take that hill. I'll lay down some cover fire."
"Look Dad, I'm a real boy!"
"But mommy said I could have as much ice cream as I wanted."
