Diary Entry - Delilah

Made after a game of pool with Lady Delilah Gattini:

So it appears I've won the first round.  How many more there could be to go, I don't know.  Nor do I know if I have the stomach for the ice-baths that will inevitably follow such encounters.  If I don't suffer frostbite they will help strengthen my will and endurance.  I find it somewhat ironic

I am working very hard, especially on my reputation. Who'd believe the hapless and naive young Mandrake is capable of anything other than running away from women?

Strengthening will and endurance is an admirable thing. And, you *did* win. It is actually better that way, it may help to provide you with a false sense of security. Wait? I have a complete oppposite?

As for your opposite, I suppose it depends on what it is I'm referring to exactly.

I'm being very careful; I swear there were no witnesses to the great flower theft and once I emerged from that ice bath, all parts were functioning somewhat properly.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that was on this side of possessive.

But, it's good that he recuperates quickly, I don't want to break him.
